Laura “Chick-in-the-Hat” Croston

Baroness of Blather, Doyen of Esoterica, and Dean of Logomancy

Laura Croston is a co-founder of Adventure U and functions of Dean of Logomancy, helping writers and GMs find and refine their creative voices and craft the stories they want to share.

Laura began her nerdly journey at the tender age of seven, when her father handed her both her first set of dice AND her first game controller (poor kid never had a chance). Throughout her life, she has continued to pursue gaming in all its glorious forms, but her first love was the stories the games told. That love steered her to earn both a BA and an MA in English literature, composition, criticism, and rhetoric, the latter specializing in genre fiction (with an emphasis on speculative fiction).

Laura “graduated” from player to GM in 2015 and has run a variety of systems, including D&D (various editions), Pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Dungeon Crawl Classics, and Fallout 2d20.

Michael “Mister” Howard

Illuminatus and Dean of Worldbuilding

Michael Howard is a co-founder of Adventure U and functions as Dean of Worldbuilding, encouraging role-playing gamers to learn and grow together.

Michael began his illustrious role-playing career in 1981, playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons as a means of avoiding the high-pressure world of Middle School dating.

In the four decades since, he has played and game mastered a varied assortment of role-playing games of all genres that matter.

He currently spends his time working through Adventure U to share his hard-earned knowledge of how to prepare for and run role-playing games with up-and-
coming game masters. He is currently working on role-playing adventures for Traveller 2300, Call of Cthulhu, Fading Suns and Black Powder and Brimstone.
